Florals for spring and other simplistic ideas.

One of my favorite scenes in the Devil Wears Prada is when Miranda says, Florals? In spring, groundbreaking. It’s just one of those lines that has stayed in my head all of these years. So much so, I still find myself saying it every spring as the stores roll out an array of flower printed dresses—I’m looking at you Target. I’m not mad at it. I love floral prints and pastel colors. The fashion go-to’s for spring are all things that I love to wear and honestly wear all year long. Neutrals like ivory, stone, and camel are my jams. I love a pink, blue and yellow. Plus, after a few long months of sitting on my shelf, I can finally break out the espadrilles. I have too many pairs and there are no promises that I will not buy more this spring.

 Outside of the clothes, I love spring because the world around us is finally waking up. My azalea bushes bloom a pretty pink and white as we get more sunny days and less chill in the air. Since I live in Florida, it’s also the only time of the year where it’s not too hot to spend time outside. Spring is when our world awakens to a new season filled with beauty and life.
