Plus Size Summer Outfits

Summer is here, and it’s time to switch over your wardrobe and add in some summer pieces. I achieve this by adding some key pieces, such as shorts, rompers, skirts, and tank tops. I use a loose capsule wardrobe by styling those pieces into various outfits throughout the season. Here are some outfits that I will rock this summer.

Outfit 1:

This outfit is not in the video. I don’t know what happened to the footage, but I have the pictures, so here it is. I took these black linen shorts and paired them with a jean shirt. I finished the outfit off with a simple pair of sandals. The thing I love about this outfit is that you can dress it up and down. You can keep it with a simple shoe for errands and lunch. Or, you can add a wedge sandal to take it into the evening for a casual dinner.

Outfit 2:

This dress is thrifted, but you can find similar ones everywhere. This striped, knee-length dress is perfect for summer. The thing that I love about these spaghetti strapped dresses is that I can dress them up and down. So this dress will be awesome for picnics and brunch and then transition easily into a barbeque or a beach day. Do yourself a favor and get a dress like this for the summer.

Outfit 3:

This has easily become my official outfit for the summer. I kept it simple by putting on a pair of jean shorts with a white tank. I finished that off with this yellow kimono wrap. This is another outfit that is casual when paired with a simple sandal, or you can dress it up with an espadrille. It’s fun, flirty, and works for so many occasions.

 Outfit 4:

This is another thrifted dress, but it’s also one that can easily be duped. I took this dress and paired it with a jean jacket and finished the look off with black sandals. I envision this being more of a night time outfit with the jacket, but you can certainly leave the jacket off and add some heels to dress it up. Summertime is perfect for these cute little dresses.

Outfit 5:

I’m in love with all black outfits so I had to throw in one, and it’s a fun one. I took this black mini skirt and paired it with this pop art graphic t-shirt. I finished it with some converse high tops and a fedora. It’s a fun and spunky outfit that is still easy, cute, and workable in this summer weather.

Outfit 6:

I got these pants at Target and instantly fell in love. They feel more like a t-shirt than denim and are so comfortable. I kept it simple and paired these pants with a white tank and some heeled sandals for height. This is a soft and casual outfit that can work at so many of your summer events.

Outfit 7:

This outfit is a fun day to night outfit. I started with this cute romper. Rompers are a great base piece during the summer. I added this blazer and these heels to make it more of a nighttime look.

Those are my summer outfits. Tell me in the comments what’s your go-to summer outfit. As always, stay bright, live true, and be vividly you.
