Overall Dress with Olive Green Cardigan
For this first outfit I wanted to deeply channel my non existing 90’s angst. Think along the lines of Daria, but make her black and plus size. I started with this long sleeve mock neck crop top. Am I the only person that prefers a mock neck to a turtleneck? Turtlenecks can feel too restraining at times. Let me know in the comments.
From there, I went with this cute velvet overall dress which is doing the heavy lifting when it comes to those 90’s vibes. Since, I was already in the time machine, I went with this oversized green sweater. This thing has been my favorite this winter season. It’s from Target and it comes in several different colors. I highly recommend.
Finishing off the look I choose a pair of combat boots to really drive home the longing for the halcyon days of my youth. That’s the look.
I love a look like this because it’s playful and casual. If you don’t live five miles from the sun like I do, a pair of black tights will make this a perfect look to wear even when it’s cold outside. My favorite thing about this outfit is the combination of boots with the dress. I love a moment where I can put combat boots with dresses. I feel it’s such a nice mix of soft and sweet. This outfit is certainly one that I will add to my repeat collection.
