Animal Print Dress with Leather Jacket and Sneakers
For this outfit, I wanted to have another look that was good for going out to lunch, but still comfortable to run errands. I feel this look is what the ultra cool mom wears to get a salad and then to Target to get toothpaste. Well, I guess I'm her today. Let’s get into it.
This dress is one I’ve had for a while. It’s from Old Navy and I love it because it’s flowy and so simple to just toss on. So, even though this dress is good on it’s own. I wanted to jazz it up. After all, we’re going for elevated casual. I added this belt to bring the oh so important waist back into the conversation. That’s the love hate relationship I have with these kind of dresses. I love a flowy dress but hate looking boxy. That’s why belting the waist always helps.
From there, I threw on a leather jacket from before. I feel adding another piece gives the look a little more dimension then with the dress alone. It’s certainly elevates the look from just simple to something special.
Finishing it off, I just went with some sneakers to bring back the casual feel to conquer my cool mom day. I love sneakers with dresses, but it doesn't always work for me. I think with this look it works because there are so many elements mixing together.
This one is another that I will put in the repeat collection. It’s so simple but damn if it doesn't look so well put together and adorable. I really am ready to stylishly catwalk through Target.
